How are people enabled to make choices

  • By us listening to the Tenants and acting on what they want and need e.g. house meeting, individual communication with their respective key workers, observing and responding, staff communicating effectively with each other, Service User Satisfaction Surveys (customer feedback);

  • By working with Families, Advocates and other representative / stakeholders – we don’t know everything about the person and we must ensure we utilise the knowledge that others have;

  • By ensuring that Tenants are fully involved in developing and reviewing their own Person-Centred Care & Support Plans;

  • By helping Tenants to set and achieve goals and go beyond previous expectations – further education, paid employment, doing more for themselves

  • ‘Nothing About Me, Without Me’
